Dear 300M Partners and Reading Mentors!

We are delighted to welcome you to Katha's learning portal for first generation school-goers, your students.  

As you know, the 300 Million Citizen's Challenge is a place for likeminded people to come together to solve a very wicked problem: 150 million children not reading at grade level.

The Covid19  pandemic put a lot of our children into serious difficulties. Learn.katha.org is a small offering from our part to make your life easier while inspiring your students to learn for fun and learning.

We see this as a reading portal. It brings you activities, to help your children to enjoy, engage and e-learn, sustainably.

The portal takes forward the active story-based learning (ASBL) practices of StoryPedagogy.

We start with the story. Get the children excited with storytelling. Then we move to the word and the matra and phonics.  This way learning has meaning; the words have meaning! This is the way we teach our children to read fluently at the Katha Lab School to Read to Learn even as the Learn to Read.

As we wait for the Hindi to get ready (a special gift for the New Year  we present you, our dear co-travellers, the English version up.

Play around. Have fun. Tell us what we can do better for your children. We wait to hear from you!
